"VOLVIÓ UNA NOCHE": WINNER OF THE CONTINENTAL TICKETS

THE ARGENTINIAN PLAYWRIGHT EDUARDO ROVNER VISITS GENTE DE TEATRO



On April 19, 2007, the famous Argentinian playwright Eduardo Rovner paid a visit to Gente de Teatro in Houston.

Rovner is the author of several plays, including: "Compañía", "Almas Gemelas", and "La mosca blanca". Several of his plays have been performed internationally and consistently for many years.

The writer, former General Director of Teatro San Martin in Buenos Aires (90-92), has arrived to Houston to share projects with Gente de Teatro, and to visit Marcela Salas, our Artistic Director, dear friend and collaborator. Following his visit to Texas A&M University to present a workshop, he honored Gente de Teatro with a visit in Houston.

On September 6-9, 2007, Eduardo Rovner visited Houston again for Gente de Teatro's production of his play "Volvió una noche" and talked to the audience about the play.

GIVING BACK TO OUR COMMUNITIES

On April, 2004, Gente de Teatro performed "Venecia", and most of the proceeds were donated to APADRO,  a school serving handicapped students in Argentina. 

Handicapped students and teachers, APADRO School, Córdoba, Argentina. 

On September 2005, Gente de Teatro presented "El día que me quieras", and part of the proceeds were donated to the American Red Cross to support Hurricane Katrina Relief efforts as well as victims of Hurricane Rita.
